As he was grilling away, the familiar wolf demon Dezna was getting used to Earth, specifically the island areas as she was walking along them peacefully. She suddenly felt her stomach rumble a bit as she came to the realization that she hadn't eaten anything in a while. She would have to change that real soon, as she looked around and began gathering up plants and herbs, as well as using ranged slashes to get exotic fruits out of trees, and soon enough, she had enough greens to start making a salad! As she was formulating her salad, the smell of food cooking graced her nose as she turned to the direction of the smell. Someone was out here all by themselves, with a grill, a cooler, the whole works! Why, they seemed like a person that lived with many luxuries on this planet! And yet here she was, foraging for food like a primitive person! Well, so much for the salad, she wanted some of the Saiyan's food!

Then again... it may not be a good idea to approach the Saiyan as she realized he had some decent power to him. She still wasn't so sure engaging with these Saiyans was a good idea. Sure, her encounter with Queen Zaks turned out great, but... other Saiyans might act differently.

'I'll just mind my business and keep gathering food for my salad.' Dezna ultimately decided as she immediately was back to foraging to make a proper salad, fighting every urge of her Beastfolk nature to go to the cooking meat.

Dezna's ears perked the moment he shouted out she could come over and share some of his fish. Did she luck out and get another friendly Saiyan? She sure hoped so! Her Beastfolk instincts couldn't take anymore as she sat down as he pushed her the plate of well cooked fish, as she began to dig in, in a polite manner so not to be rude to the man who served her such delicious looking meat. She was grateful that he was so willing to share his food with her, especially since she was so hungry.

After she had finished her meal and tidied her spot, she heard the Saiyan ask what she was doing here. That was sure a common question people on Earth had, didn't they? Well, who was she to deny her hospital host's request for an answer? It was the least she could do.

"Before I answer that, allow me to introduce myself. I am Dezna, a demon-beastfolk that has recently escaped from hell. Why I was there, I have no idea, nor an inkling of memory to answer that either." Dezna first introduced, being incredibly straightforward and honest with her story yet again. It worked out fine with Zaks, why not this Saiyan? "I'm here because I need to train. I sense Earth is in peril, great peril, from many great evils... but I currently lack much strength to properly defend it. So I'm training as much as I possibly can, so should the need arise, I can defend this planet from all evils that come against it. No matter what role I must take." Dezna answered firmly. Despite how far-fetched her answer may have seemed, it definitely looked like she was determined in her goals.

"Yangcong. It's a pleasure." Dezna said politely as she had finished her meal already and was basically having a friendly chat while Yangcong finished his meal.

Dezna's eyes slightly lit up. He could help her train? That was the best news she had heard yet! A Saiyan, willing to help Dezna get stronger! She truly struck gold!

"I'm pleased to hear you're willing to train me. But please, do finish before we get started." Dezna politely responded as she did her best to hide her jovialness underneath her stoic tone. Then he mentioned why Earth was in peril as Dezna sighed. "There are cities of this Earth that have already fallen, and one currently being destroyed as we speak by a massive clash of many powers. I fear if something is not done, all the major cities of this planet will be destroyed, and then the rest of the planet will follow." Dezna answered Yangcong with concern in her tone. "That is why I must get stronger, to protect this planet."

Dezna then heard Yangcong talk about the USD. USD? What was that? It must be a government organization or something as she shook her head. "Well in that case they're failing their job, and someone else has to protect this place. If they stand in our way, I will not hesitate to cut them down. I will not see this planet destroyed, and if they don't want us capable beings, or, potentially capable beings, as the primary guardians, then they are just as much our enemy." Dezna spoke with vigor in her tone. Seems like Yangcong had earned himself an ally on an "enemy of my enemy is my friend" basis.

"Of course I am willing to put an end to their evil ways. The whole purpose for me being here is to become Earth's proper savior." Dezna replied to Yangcong with determination in her tone.

Yangcong had finished his own meal by this point and had gotten up, going on about how he could train her everyday, but should she not understand the concept it was wasted, as she saw him take off the apron and hat, Dezna's face blushing slightly as she hadn't noticed it. Yangcong told her he could teach her ki control.

"Ki control... yes, I do need to learn that." Dezna remarked firmly with a nod. "That would greatly help my abilities." She added. She then saw him change the ki shape and warp it into an element. "I see... very useful indeed."

He told her he could teach her, but she had to be disciplined enough to learn. Hearing this, Dezna rose up from her seat at the table and suddenly took a respectful pose and bowed as a student would their teacher.

"Very well then, Sensei Yangcong, I am willing to learn the ways of the path to strength." Dezna spoke firmly and with determination.

Dezna had been fully expecting to get tested right off the bat by Yangcong to begin the training. That much she was ready for.

What she wasn't ready for, however, was to be tossed into the ocean with heavy ankle weights on and expected to get out! Well, it was a fair test. If she succeeded, that was good. If she failed, she died, and was unworthy.

Well, Dezna wouldn't be dying today, using her strength to propel herself from the far distance she was in the ocean, using the weights to her benefit by pushing water to propel her as well, before she reached land just as Yangcong was halfway through his second serving of a meal.

"Done." Dezna would say to Yangcong as she was back up on the beach, shaking off the water. "To be honest that wasn't a difficult test." Dezna admitted to Yangcong.

Dezna nodded firmly at Yangcong's words. First, the ki orb. She nodded and concentrated her demonic ki, as she formed a dark red ki ball in her hand. That was simple enough. Step one was out of the way. Now for the next one.

Yangcong then told her to manifest it into an element, even telling her what elements were possible and how to achieve them, or, well, how his master taught him. The thing was that none of those elements really fit Dezna... so she had to use what emotions she had right now and see what came out of it. Dezna concentrated on her feelings... which right now, was a swell of determination. Because Earth needed a savior. Earth needed a hero. And Dezna wanted to be that hero, no matter what! As she was having her determination swell, a purple fire began to flicker from the ki ball in her hands, and suddenly, she now had a purple flaming ball of ki in her hands as she looked at it and gasped.

"...Wow... that was... surprisingly easy. I guess it was as easy as you made it look." Dezna remarked about the whole elemental ki thing. But upon Yangcong mentioning greater things, Dezna would nod firmly.

"I understand. If you would have me, I would like to be your student." Dezna asked as she bowed in reverence to Yangcong. "I want to become stronger. I want to be able to save this world. But I cannot do it with this measly power. Please, I ask you to take me in and teach me how I can become stronger, so that one day, I might be able to protect this planet."

"I see... in that case I bid you farewell. I suppose I must seek my strength elsewhere." Dezna spoke as turned and walked away, leaving Yangcong to his own devices. She would take the knowledge she gained from him today, and use it to move on with her training, wherever that might lead her to.
